How To Get To Busua Beach (From Accra)
Take a taxi to the Takoradi Station for Mini-buses (the cheapest) or the -STC- State Transport Terminal for overland buses (the safest).
Travel West 200 km from Accra through Winnaba and Cape Coast to Takoradi.
There take a taxi 25 km to Busua, or go to the Tarkwa Station and take transport to Agona Junction.
From Agona Junction travel 10 km South to Busua.

Busua is a beach resort and fishing village in the Ahanta West District of the Western Region in Ghana, about 30 kilometers west of the regional capital, Sekondi-Takoradi in the Gulf of Guinea. Busua is classified in the category of towns with more than 5,000 inhabitants, with a paved road from Sekondi to reach the town.
In recent years the town has not only obtained full electricity connection, but also restaurants, a shopping center, several lodges and bungalows and luxury real estate. From Busua can be reached on foot in about 25 minutes;
The fishing village of Dixcove, the old original British stronghold Fort Metal Cross and to the east of the small town, the former Dutch fortress Fort Batenstein (which can both be visited).

Nearby, in Sekondi-Takoradi you will find some more Forts and Castles, like Fort Orange in Sekondi, Nzulezo village (within a lake), Nkroful village (birthplace of Kwame Nkrumah) and Museum. Takoradi also has a regional airport, linking the city with Accra (Capital city of Ghana). There is a good STC (State owned bus company) connection to other cities of Ghana, like Cape Coast city, Central region of Ghana, beside the railway link to Obuasi (Gold city of Ghana) and Kumasi (capital city of the Ashanti region).
